After getting married and having our first daughter, Natalia, I was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom, but felt the need to do something more, something creative. After looking into countless different projects I came across candle making and decided to make some as Christmas gifts in 2012. It was important that the candles had to be eco-friendly, renewable, reusable, and sourced from US products. I also wanted to have more of a modern contemporary look rather than the usual soy candles you see everywhere made in a mason jar. The feedback we got was amazing and they couldn’t get enough. Soon after, word spread and many people inquired about buying our candles. Over the next few months, we refined and perfected our process, and started attending local craft shows and Farmers markets. Our candles where a hit and flew off the shelves! Little did we know that what started as a hobby would soon bloom into a prosperous booming business. Six years, another beautiful daughter, Scarlett, and two cats (Ginger and Kodi) later we have received the 2018 City’s Best Award for Candles and a Proud to Manufacture in Michigan award from Pure Michigan® and are growing stronger than ever!
OUR Wicks
Our wick is designed specifically for natural waxes. It is a flat, coreless cotton wick braided with thin paper filaments interwoven for burn stability. The specially treated paper threads provide a controlled curling of the wick making it self-trimming, which results in minimized mushrooming, soot and smoke. They have been designed to significantly reduce the "afterglow" and smoke often seen in paper cored wicks. An important difference to note is that these wicks have been primed with vegetable wax rather than paraffin wax. Lead-Free eco-friendly wicks!

CLEAN BURNING -- Soy wax is non-toxic and burns cleaner than paraffin with no petrol-carbon soot which can blacken walls, ceilings, and furniture, contaminate ventilation ductwork in your home, as well as add toxic carcinogens into the air you breathe.
LONG BURNING -- Soy candles burn slower and cooler than paraffin wax, creating a longer burning candle.
RENEWABLE RESOURCE -- Soybeans are a renewable source, unlike paraffin, which consists of petroleum.
BIODEGRADABLE -- Since soybeans are vegetables, soy wax is naturally biodegradable. Soy wax is also easier to remove from materials and other surfaces than paraffin wax.
HELPS THE FARMERS -- Buying soybean products creates important economic growth for the agricultural sector of the US economy. Soy candles are simply better for you, your family, and your environment!
Advantages of Soy Candles
Burn times will always vary depending on the placement of your candle; drafty areas will burn slightly quicker. Do not burn in drafty areas. Burn times will also vary depending on the height of your wick; the longer the wick, the quicker the candle will burn. To reduce sooting, you must trim the wick to 1/4 inch and center the wick each time the candle is relit.

The first time you burn the candle must be burned long enough for the heat from the wick to melt the wax at the edge of the candle. Candle should remain lit for a minimum of 3-4 hours each time it is burned. One hour for every inch of diameter is recommended. Soy candles have a sort of memory. If you do not allow them to burn all the way to the edge of the container when you first burn them, they will begin to tunnel down into the wax instead of melting all the way to the edges. You will lose out on over half of your candle if this happens. It is normal for some wax to remain on the sides and bottom of the jar. This is due to fragrance, color and ambient burning conditions.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children & pets. Keep wax free of matches, wick trimmings & flammable materials. Do not move while candle is burning or wax is hot. Failure to follow instructions could result in fire, injury or some damage. Do not extinguish candle with lid. Use caution in handling candle as glass will become hot. Important: To prevent damage, discontinue using candle when 1/2" of wax remains.
